BICYCLE WARRANTY:
The specifics may vary but all of our bicycles come with a lifetime warranty.
In addition, we will personally stand behind any bicycle we sell 100%. We will
be happy to give you details of a specific company's warranty upon request.
All of our bicycles also come with a free check up policy. Generally, it is
recommended that this take place from 30 to 60 days after the bicycle is put
into service. We also offer free
warranty adjustments for the first season.
If your bicycle needs further adjustments after the 30-day break in period,
this will also be done at no additional expense.
We
are also one of the first shops in the country to offer the very
comprehensive and easy “Keep It Rolling
Protection Plan" that can also give you
added piece of mind and added value for your new purchase.

SERVICE
SERVICE:
It is easy to say that you have a great service department; we have been
proving it for over 35 years. Our
bicycle frame repair workshop has one of the most complete selections of specialized bicycle
tools and fixtures available anywhere in the world. Our skilled personnel can
handle most any job, big or small, that can be performed on a bicycle. We can paint
a bicycle virtually any color to better than original gloss and hardness. With
the comprehensive selection of custom and standard brazed on fittings we
offer, often, we can make your bicycle better than new. We are often called
upon to do what other shops cannot do. We are prepared to do sophisticated
alignment and facing operations, wheel building and truing, as well as general
service and maintenance. Please consult our special price schedule for further
information concerning these highly specialized services.
TUNE-UPS:
A tune up is a necessary part of bicycle maintenance. In order for your
bicycle to perform properly, it is important to keep the individual parts in
"tune" with each other. Often, this can make quite a difference in
the performance of the machine. Tune-ups include adjustments of brakes, hubs,
derailleurs, and minor touch up of wheels, and surface lubrication of the
chain. Replacement parts, if necessary, are not included. We generally
recommend that tune-ups be performed once a year.
OVERHAULS:
As the name implies, this is a more thorough servicing for your bicycle. We
recommend complete overhauls annually for any bicycles ridden in adverse
conditions (rain, snow, dirt roads etc.) such as mountain bikes. Also any
bicycle ridden over 1,000 miles a year should be overhauled. Other candidates
for overhauls are bicycles that have been in storage for a few years or
bicycles that are just starting to show their age. If you have a bicycle that
is a few years old and you can't remember the last time you had an overhaul,
it might not be a bad idea to look into it. Overhauls include: all of the tune
up services as well as a complete cleaning of the drive train and re-packing
the bearings in the head set, bottom bracket, and hubs. Replacement parts are
not included.

All service is covered by a 30-day parts and labor guarantee. Please save your
receipt in case questions arise.

KIT sizing system and the incomparable RAD
system for proper alignment of the cleats of cycling shoes. We have years of
experience in the proper fitting and set-up of bicycles to fit individuals. If

are brought to you along with completely stocked bicycle shops. The bicycles
we sell are professionally assembled and are of the highest quality. We feel

offer are of even greater value because of their assembly and the ability of
this shop to support them. All of our products also come with extensive
warrantees and are some the best offered in the industry. We are not a

OUR STAFF
The most important part of any organization is its
personnel.
Steve
Bender,
Swartz Creek Manager comes to us from Perry Michigan but is a U.P. native of
Crystal
Falls
. Steve has worked at some of the largest shops in Lansing
and is a great asset to our organization. Since taking over the Managers
position at the Swartz Creek Store we have been enjoying his positive attitude
and enthusiasm for quality bicycles. Steve is responsible for producing those
famous high quality Assenmacher paint jobs.
Dallas
Galarno is returning for his second season with the Assenmacher's Hill Rd.
Crew. Dallas has a retail background and has been a professional
photographer. He is an enthusiastic rider putting in thousands of miles in the
Birch Run area.
Tony
Gonzalez one our newest employees at Hill Rd. is a tri-athlete with seven
years of military experience. Currently attending the University of
Michigan he is majoring in Accounting and Finance. Tony's favorite food
is Cold Stone Creamery Ice Cream.
Jesse
Gould comes
to us from a running background and has since embraced the cycling lifestyle
whole heartedly becoming a year-round cycling commuter.
His knowledge and enthusiasm are an asset to our
Hill Rd.
store.
He
is likely to talk your ear off about bikes while on the sales floor, and he is
equally comfortable in the back room turning out first quality assemblies and
repairs.
Joe
Irwin has been
riding road bikes
with us for the last few of years and
is starting his third season with the Swartz
Creek team. He has been a growing force on the Lennon
rides where he will be riding
the new Sram road components this year. Joe can often be seen riding his
vintage 1976 Schwinn Sting Ray around his neighborhood.
Joe is friendly and knowledgeable and he can help you with any of your
cycling needs.
Nick
Johnson is responsible for repairs at the Hill Rd. store. Now in his third
season working with us, we are pleased to have his positive attitude and
attention to detail. Nick is currently finishing his bachelors degree in
Biology at the University of Michigan. He is a Carmen-Ainsworth Grad and
played varsity soccer. Nick enjoys night riding downtown.
Tony
Klein an avid mountain bike rider is active in the Holly-Flint chapter of
the Michigan Mountain Bike Association (MMBA) and is currently
treasurer. This is Tony's first season at Assenmacher's Hill Rd. but he
has ridden five Iceman races and four Ore to Shore races in Michigan's Upper Peninsula.
He says " I can't seem to win, or even get close, I just love to
ride"
Walter
Podpora,
An avid mountain biker and outdoor enthusiast, Walter has returned this year
to help us at the Swartz Creek Store. His friendliness and knowledge will
ensure you get the right bike or accessory for your needs.
Dwayne
Wright,
has been riding bicycles for most of his life. He has ridden more than 25
centuries (100 mile) rides and four DALMAC’s. Dwayne is or head
mechanic at the Swartz Creek store and we are happy to have someone
with Dwayne's experience.
Barbara
Assenmacher
is the owner/manager and force behind the stores. She stays busy riding,
playing soccer and spinning. She and her partners, Gizmo
and Sophie, can be seen at the Swartz Creek store.
