Assenmacher Bicycle Company

Matt Assenmacher trained at the internationally known Bob Jackson Cycles in Leeds, England in the early 1970's.  Under the guidance of master frame builder Danny Foster, he learned the traditional English frame building skills and design practices.

In 1974, the original Assenmacher bicycle frame shop was set up in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan. In 1977 the frame shop was moved to Swartz Creek, Michigan and a full-service retail bicycle shop selling Schwinn bicycles was added.  During the late 1980’s through the early 2000’s the company expanded to three locations in Genesee County.

Today we have consolidated all operations to a large single retail and repair shop featuring Trek and Specialized bicycles at 1272 West Hill Rd. in Mundy Township.  Come visit us at our beautiful brick and mortar retail bicycle show room.  Our location on Hill Road, in Mundy Township, has easy access to I-75, I-475 and U.S. 23 expressways.

We feel that our strong staff, history, location, facilities and brands will allow us to help you with all of your cycling needs.
